This section is dedicated to the new Air Warfare Destroyer DDG 39.
This Nuship Hobart is the first of its class here in Australia and therefore will be known as the Hobart Class This Hobart Class will also be of the DDG 39 type.
This could be slightly confusing when we talk of the DDG the Modified Perth Class, the second ship Hobart and the new Hobart Class, which will be the third of this name.
Even this is a bit of misnomer as there were two ships named Hobart before the Cruiser Hobart. To be fair though, these were not ships of the RAN.
